Governor meets officials  of Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch

Guwahati, Rongili Barta- With an aim to get the overview of the functioning of Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria today held a meeting with the officials of the society in the conference hall of Raj Bhavan. Besides taking a look at the services of the of Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch in delivering quality health care system, the Governor took stock of the issues that are compromising with the efficient and seamless delivery of health services in the state. In the meeting the Governor emphasized on full cooperation of all stakeholders to realize fulfillment of the mandate of the Indian Red Cross Society. He also appealed to all the stakeholders to work unitedly to provide humanitarian services to the people. The General Secretary of the IRCS, Assam State Branch Deba Prasad Misra gave a power point presentation highlighting on  the activities being carried out across the state and on the key functional aspects for the smooth operation of the organization during crisis situations. The meeting was attended by the Secretary Swapna Dutta Deka, Secretary Assam Medical Education and Research  Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia,  Vice Chairman IRCS, ASB, Hemanta Kumar Gohain, Programme Manager IRCS, ASB Laba Kumar Sarma, Treasurer IRCS, ASB Prakash Atreya along with members from TRIF and Raj Bhavan.
