Vice-Chairman Ramen Deka inaugurates SITA’s Funded project “Civil Services Study Centre” of Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat 

Dispur,Rongili Barta- State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA) Vice- Chairman Sri Ramen Deka inaugurated Jagannath Barooah College Civil Services Study Centre, Jorhat funded by State Innovation & Transformation (SITA) at a programme held at the Conference hall of Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat today. In the programme, Vice-Chairman Sri Ramen Deka also handed over the first installment to carry out the funded project to the Principal of  Jagannath Barooah College Dr. Utpal Jyoti Mahanta. Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Vice- Chairman Sri Ramen Deka said that he had high hopes the project would serve its purpose in providing motivation and instill confidence to the aspiring students. The project will also provide proper infrastructure which will include study materials, he said. At the same time, he advised the students to take full advantage of the study centre to achieve success. The project of SITA will be carried out on a pilot basis wherein four colleges were selected for the first phase in which Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat being one of them.  It is worth mentioning that for the said project, a Memorandum of Aggreement (MoA) was signed between SITA and Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat on 10th April, 2023 last. Today’s programme was attended by Dr. Bichitra Kr. Barthakur, President, Governing Body, Sri Palit kr. Bora, Sri Dilip Hazarika, Sri D.S Hazari and students & faculty members of J.B College, Jorhat.
