Meeting on APSC Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024 scheduled to be held on June 8 under the chairmanship of Dibrugarh District Commissioner Vikram Kairi

Hashim Ali,Dibrugarh,Rongili Barta- A crucial meeting was held today (29-05-2025) in the conference hall of the Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner’s office regarding the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024, scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, across three centers in Dibrugarh district.The meeting was chaired by Dibrugarh District Commissioner Vikram Kairi in the presence of Bhaskar Phukan, retired IAS officer and member of the Assam Public Service Commission. During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024, Sanghamitra Baruah, gave a detailed presentation via PowerPoint on the preparations being undertaken by the district administration to ensure smooth conduct of the exam across various centers in Dibrugarh. APSC member Bhaskar Phukan urged the center supervisors to ensure strict implementation of the guidelines set by the Commission. He emphasized that no mobile phones, digital watches, or any other electronic gadgets should be allowed inside the examination centers, and proper frisking arrangements must be made for all candidates. He also recommended special arrangements for frisking female candidates to avoid any untoward situations.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the police department to ensure comprehensive frisking of candidates at the examination centers and to take special measures to prevent any traffic congestion on the examination day. He also directed the health department to keep a medical team ready at each center for any emergency situations. APSC member Bhaskar Phukan appealed to everyone involved to carry out their responsibilities sincerely to ensure the smooth conduct of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024. The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Nirmal Ghosh, Assistant Commissioners Surabhi Srivastava, Pooja Bora, Juri Doley, Circle Officer (East Revenue Circle) Satish Prasad, Treasury Officer Rubul Baruah, and other officials. Representatives from the three examination centers — Dibrugarh College, Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, and Hanumanbux Surajmal Kanoi College, Dibrugarh — were also present.
