ICSI inaugurates its 4th Centre for Corporate Governance, Research and Training (CCGRT) in Manesar, Haryana

 

Rongili Barta: In its endeavour to further strengthen its presence and facilitate research, training and consultancy, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, set up its 4th Centre for Corporate Governance, Research and Training (CCGRT), at IMT Manesar, Haryana.

Recognizing the impactful role of research infrastructure in a professional institution, this state-of-the-art facility has been established to provide the impetus for world-class training and incubation, catering to increasing global demand.

The setting up of CCGRTs across India reinstates the ICSI’s commitment to providing quality education and professional development to all its stakeholders. As a global governance body aiming to develop high calibre professionals who can streamline business process and facilitate good corporate governance, the ICSI continues to offer a roadmap in research and training through its CCGRTs and is fostering trust, transparency & accountability in India Inc.

CCGRT Manesar with a proposed built-up area of 31,049 Sq.ft. houses classrooms, library, Multipurpose Rooms, Hostel, IT Lab, Dining Hall and Recreation Room in the Basement + Ground + 4 Floor facility.

The 4th in its league, CCGRT Manesar, aims to expand the ICSI’s resolve towards building better governance structures in India Inc. through its research-based orientation in the northern region and beyond. It will also provide the required support to the Government, Regulators, Statutory Bodies and the Industry at large, through its varied activities.

Highlighting the ICSI’s futuristic approach, CS Dhananjay Shukla, President, the ICSI, said that “The setting up of the CCGRTs will help build holistic processes and structures that would seamlessly integrate governance in the functioning of corporates. Beyond research, CCGRT Manesar will act as a pioneering centre for capacity building programs for ICSI stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, CS Ranjeet Pandey, Former President & Chairman, ESG and Sustainability Board, the ICSI, said, “True governance goes beyond compliance. It is the culture we develop and the CCGRT framework has been designed to train and nurture every stakeholder of the ICSI – student, member, and employee, for deep-seated, holistic development and enduring ethical leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Inder Deep Singh DhariwalCouncil Member (Government Nominee) the ICSI, said, “ICSI’s strategic investment in CCGRT underscores its recognition of the fact that robust corporate governance is indispensable to India’s evolving business environment.

Also present on the occasion were CS Pawan G Chandak, Vice President, the ICSI, CS Manish Gupta, Former President & Chairman, Infra Committee, the ICSI, along with other Council Members of the ICSI.
