Governor visits Mahamrityunjay temple and Batadrava Than

Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited the holy Mahamrityunjay temple in Nagaon today. He offered his puja to Lord Shiva and prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the people in general. The Governor during his visit was accompanied by the MLA of Brahampur Jitu Goswami.  and the DC of Nagaon Narendra Kr Shah. The Governor also visited  the Batadrava Than in the district. Engaging with the devout gathering, Governor Kataria expressed his profound gratitude to the office bearers and the devotees. He hailed the Than’s role as the epicenter of Vaishnav culture, serving as the vantage point from which Sri Srimanta Shankardev disseminated the enlightened message of the Neo-Vaishnavite movement.  The Governor said that once the under-construction project is completed it will turn into a premier tourist attraction. He also said that the place would help the future generations comprehend the immense contributions of Sankardeva and the profound wisdom encapsulated in his teachings. Governor Kataria also assured all help for the place to promote and spread the teachings of Sankardev across the globe.
