Governor visits Baksa; takes stock of implementation of government schemes

Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria during his visit to Baksa district today  held a meeting with the district functionaries in presence of Principal Secretary BTC Akash Deep and DC  Masanda Magdalin Pertin. He reviewed all the Central and State Government schemes and took stock of all the schemes implemented by the BTC.  Taking a look at the National Social Assistance programme, the Governor stressed on the need of linking AADHAR which helps the beneficiaries to utilise the schemes to the fullest. Therefore, he asked the district administration to launch an awareness to take the benefits of the government schemes. He also lauded the officials for 99% aadhar seeding in one nation one ration card scheme.  Reviewing the works of PWD(Roads),  he said that the works in the Asom Mala scheme to be geared up. He also said that the Mukhya Mantri Unnoto Paki Path Asoni should also get due importance in its implementation. The Governor further said that medical facilities should be made available in the tea garden areas.  Besides, he said that there should be dedicated spaces and buildings for Anganwadi Centres. Taking a review of the Jal Jeevan Mission he expressed satisfaction on the performance of the Mission in the district.
