Governor inaugurates academic building of North East Military School at Bijni

Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya today inaugurated the newly constructed academic building of the North East Military School at Bijni at a function held at the school campus in Bijni town.
Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the school management on the occasion, the Governor described the inauguration as a significant milestone in the institution’s journey toward academic excellence. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Acharya said, “The future of any nation lies in the hands of its youth. Therefore, a strong education system rooted in moral values, and a spirit of national pride is essential for building a resilient nation.
Highlighting India’s rich educational heritage, and its contribution to global progress in science and technology, economic development, and human advancement, Shri Acharya reiterated on the need of evolving teaching methods in the modern era to sustain India’s contribution to excellence. The Governor said, “In today’s rapidly changing knowledge landscape, technology must be harnessed effectively in impart education. Teaching should ignite curiosity, which according to him would empower the students in their everyday lives.
Shri Acharya underscored the transformational reforms underway in the Indian education system under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, particularly through the New Education Policy 2020. Initiatives like PM e-Vidya and the DIKSHA platform, powered by a robust digital infrastructure and AI interface are enabling a more inclusive and forward-looking education ecosystem across the country, the Governor added.
Shri Acharya also spoke on India’s transformation into a global player of significance in manufacturing indigenous, hi-tech defence systems. He attributed this development to Prime Minister Narendr Modi’s vision to ‘Make in India’ and an Atmanirbhar Bharat, a dream that is today becoming a reality with India emerging as an economic, strategic and technological powerhouse.
Looking ahead to 2047, the centenary of India’s independence, the Governor inspired students to envision themselves as future leaders, innovators, and nation-builders. “The dream of Viksit Bharat @2047 depends on youth like you, who are disciplined, dedicated, and driven by the spirit of ‘Nation First’. When the youth of a country rise with such purpose, no power in the world can stop its progress,” the Governor exuded.
Referencing recent space achievements made by India, Shri Acharya invoked the inspirational words of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who said ‘Sare Jahan se achcha Hindustan Hamara’, which reaffirmed the role of young Indians in re-establishing India as a ‘Vishva Guru’. He on the occasion extended his best wishes to the North East Military School, Bijni for resounding success of its mission and vision.
The inaugural function was attended by MLA of Bijni Assembly Constituency, Ajoy Kumar Ray, Deputy Speaker of BTR Legislative Assembly, Abhiram Mahanayak, Executive Member of BTR, Dhananjay Basumutary, along with a host of other dignitaries.
