Governor congratulates Sahitya Akademi Award winners
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, extended his heartfelt congratulations to noted writers Debabrata Das and Sahaysuli Brahma on being honoured with the Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2025.
It may be mentioned that Shri Debabrata Das received the prestigious recognition for his Assamese work “Kori Khelar Shadhu”, while Smt. Sahaisuli Brahma has been honoured for her Bodo work “Dwngnwi Lama Mwnse Gathwn” The Governor said that their achievements have brought immense pride to the state and highlighted the rich literary traditions of Assam.
Lauding their literary excellence and creative contributions, the Governor expressed hope that both the writers would continue to enrich Indian literature through their works and inspire the younger generation to pursue creative and intellectual endeavours.
