EIRC of the ICSI organised the 19th Regional Conference for Practicing Company Secretaries
Rongili Barta- EIRC of the ICSI organised the 19th Regional Conference for Practicing Company Secretaries on 17 January 2026, in Kolkata, on the theme Governance 2.0 – Dynamic, Digital, Decisive.
Smt. Shilpa Gourisaria, IAS, Secretary, Department of Finance, Government of West Bengal, graced the event as Chief Guest and Shri Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, GM & Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda, was the Guest of Honour.
CS Anuj Saraswat, Chairman, EIRC set the tone of the programme while introducing the theme of the programme and welcoming the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and the participants.
Following the inaugural session was a panel discussion on the topic “Redefining Governance 2.0” with panelists, CS Pammy Jaiswal, Practising Company Secretary and CS Mohan Ram Goenka, Practising Company Secretary, and moderated by CS Santosh Kumar, Treasurer, EIRC-ICSI.
The post lunch panel discussion on “Opportunities for PCS in Tribunals”, had CS Anjan Kumar Roy, Former Chairman, EIRC-ICSI, CS Ravi Varma, CS & Compliance Officer, Emami Ltd and CS Tarun Chatterjee, Company Secretary, as the panelist and CS Vivek Mishra, Practising Company Secretary, as the moderator.
The last panel discussion of the day on “Scaling New Heights: The Journey from SME IPO to Main Board Listing”, was deliberated by CS Kashish Arora, Company Secretary, Ms. Aditi Chachan, Indcap Advisors Private Limited, CS Pritha Choudhary Company Secretary, as panelists and CS Altab Uddin Kazi, Practising Company Secretary, as moderator.
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation, of more than 150 delegates from Eastern India, making it a resounding success.
CS Rupanjana De, Council Member, the ICSI, CS Sandip Kumar Kejriwal, Council Member, the ICSI were also present on the occasion.
CS Satish Kumar, Secretary, EIRC-ICSI delivered the vote of thanks.
