Dibrugarh celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr peacefully spreading the messages of love, harmony and brotherhood

M. Hashim Ali,Dibrugarh, Rongili Barta-  Dibrugarh celebrated the holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr along with other parts of the state today. Muslims traditionally celebrate Eid after a month of fasting during Ramadan. The Eid prayers were held at the “Dibrugarh Central Eidgah” in Graham Bazar, Dibrugarh. It was a fascinating scene with people praying shoulder to shoulder in rows. The Eid prayers were conducted by Mufti Alhaj Abdur Rahman, the Imam of Graham Bazar Mosque. After the prayers, the Imam spoke about the centuries old traditions of harmony and brotherhood between Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians. He also prayed for world peace. At the end of the prayer, Eidgah Committee Secretary Alhaj Amanullah Ansari wished everyone present EID MUBARAK and thanked them for their presence. The Eidgah Committee Secretary Alhaj Saukat Ali delivered the vote of thanks. He thanked the Dibrugarh District Administration, Police Administration, Electricity Department, Dibrugarh Municipality and media as well as the Eidgah workers for their cooperation. On the other hand, around 2,000 people attended the Eid prayers at “Alhaj Jalaluddin Ahmed Eidgah Maidan” at Amolapatti, Dibrugarh. The event was conducted by Assam Jamiul Ulum Madrassa Head Maulana Alhoj Manjur Ahmed. He raised his hands to the Most Merciful for world peace and prayed for all the people of the country. Eid prayers were also held peacefully in 28 mosques of Dibrugarh. Many people have sent greetings on the occasion of Eid. Zakat and Imdad Foundation Trust Dibrugarh President Dr. Sajid Ahmed, Secretary Nasir Sultan, Treasurer Najib Hussain Sabri, Center for Islamic Studies President Dr. Ahmedullah Khan, Secretary M Hashim Ali, Vice Presidents Alhaj Sehir Ahmed, Abdul Khaleque, The president of the Dibrugarh Eidgah Committee Alhaj Aman Ullah Ansari, Secretary Alhaj Saukat Ali, Executive President Abdul Sajid wished the people on the occasion, Dibrugarh District Hilal Committee President Alhaj Maulana Ainan Zuberi, Secretary Alhaj Nasimul Gani, Dibrugarh Imam Association President Alhaj Maulana Sabir Ahmed, Secretary Alhaj Maulana Atikur Rahman Qasimi, Amolapatti Eidgah Committee President Alhaj Sabir Ahmed, Secretary Jawed Rahman, etc  have also sent Eid Mubarak messages.
