Byatikram MASDO to Celebrate the 81st Birth Anniversary of Legendary Musician Jayanta Hazarika

This year’s Byatikram Jayanta Hazarika Memorial Award 2024 will be awarded to Indian musician Lou Majaw

Guwahati,Rongili Barta: On September 20th, Byatikram MASDO and Surbahini will come together to pay tribute to the legendary musician Jayanta Hazarika on his birth anniversary at Pragjyoti ITA Center for Performing Arts , Machkhowa, Guwahati.

On September 16th, Byatikram MASDO held a press conference at their office to announce the birth anniversary celebration of Jayanta Hazarika. The press conference was attended by eminent singer Manisha Hazarika , Odissi dancer Ankita Kulabhi , Singer Prashanta Rajkhowa and President of Byatikram Dr. Saumen Bharatiya.

On this special day, a grand program will be held at Pragjyoti ITA Center , Machkhowa from 2 pm onwards . The event will be attended by the late singer’s wife and eminent singer Manisha Hazarika , filmmaker and social activist Shankar Lall Goenka, Prominent musician JP Das, Jayanta Hazarika’s son Mayukh Hazarika and others.

Moreover, the prestigious “Jayanta Hazarika Byatikram Memorial Award-2024” will be presented to Indian Musician Lou Majaw from Meghalaya in recognition of his immense contribution to Indian music.

Earlier this prestigious award was presented to Lopamudra Mitra of Kolkata and Eminent singer J.P Das of Assam and Sulekha Basumatary, a renowned artist from Boroland. Byatikram is embarking on a mission to harmonize and popularize Jayanta Hazarika’s music, bridging the cultural divide across the North East India. This journey aims to resonate his melodies, revitalize his legacy, and create a symphony of unity, celebrating his contributions to the world of music.

The 81st birth anniversary event will be attended by many popular and aspiring singers of Assam. Join us for Jayanta Hazarika’s birth anniversary celebration, featuring Assam’s top vocalists Mayukh Hazarika, Prashanta Rajkhowa, Sanskrita Malakar, Rubul Kalita, Ankita Kulabhi, Pranita Talukdar, and Sanchita Deb Barman. Anubhuti Kakati Goswami will also conduct a music therapy session on the music of Jayanta Hazarika.
