Byatikram MASDO is going to host the Third Edition of the Byatikram International Writers Meet 2024 in Guwahati

Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Byatikram MASDO is thrilled to announce the third edition of the highly anticipated Byatikram International Writers Meet 2024, set to take place from November 22 to 25, 2024, in the vibrant city of Guwahati, Assam. This year’s meet promises to be a melting pot of cultures and ideas, featuring an impressive lineup of distinguished writers, poets, and intellectuals from around the globe.

The event will showcase an array of prominent literary figures, including Tendo Taijin of Japan; Alexandra Nicod of Switzerland; Miodrag Jaksic of Serbia; Hussein Habasch of Germany; Kieu Bich Hau of Vietnam; Cao Thi Hong of Vietnam; Jorge Contreras Herrera and Jorge Antonio García Pérez of Mexico; Ahmad Al Shahawy and Dr Sara Hamid Hawass of Egypt; Dr Reshma Ramesh; Ashok Chakraborty; Mita Das Purkasyastha; Bikash Sarkar; Prof. Jiban Nath; Bijay Shankar Sur and other renowned writers of Assam will be present from India.

The event will be attended by distinguished personalities such as Dr. Rita Chowdhury, Eminent Writer, Manikuntala Bhattacharya, Eminent Writer, Shankar Lall Goenka, Eminent Film Maker & Social Activist, Jayashree Ghosh, Director of Gyan Educational Institution, Jeuti Banikya and others.

The event schedule includes:

  • November 22, Friday: A grand welcome and felicitation ceremony for the poets at Aurus Mall, Dispur, Guwahati.
  • November 23, Saturday: Engaging sessions at Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti (Amingaon), Dispur College, and Gauhati Artist’s Guild (Chandmari).
  • November 24, Sunday: A literary programme organized by the Bengali Department and alumni of the Bengali Department of Cotton University and in the evening a gathering at Hotel Vivanta.

The programme will also feature seven books written by Prof. Jiban Nath which includes ‘Nath Yoga Nibandhakrtsna’, ‘Charyapder Teen Kabi’, ‘Amader Purva Purush’, ‘Adeep’, ‘Matsendra Kathanak’, ‘Ekamkika’ and ‘Chauddapadi Sonnet’ and Bijay Shankar Sur’s ‘Trikhandito Bharat Darpan’ and ‘Gopon Premer Darshan’.

  • November 25, Monday: Concluding ceremony and validity program at Hotel Landmark.
