Guwahati,Rongili Barta – Byatikram MASDO  organized a Tribute Paying Ceremony in remembrance of the MEGA ICON – esteemed industrialist and philanthropist Late Ratan Tata at NEDFI House, Dispur, Guwahati on the October 15, 2024, at the NEDFi Auditorium, Guwahati. 

This event, attended by esteemed citizens, business leaders, social workers, students and followers of the farsighted visionary business tycoon celebrated the life and legacy of a man whose vision and compassion continue to inspire countless lives.

Floral Tributes followed by devotional songs and moments of silence to pray for the Moksha of the departed soul created a serene atmosphere. 

Noted speakers including Sri Shankarlal Goenka, reputed businessman and social worker, Jayanta Das, Area Director, Taj Group Pradip Nath, DGM SIDBI, Manoj Bhajanka, Vice District Governor, Lions International, District 322G, Dr. Mrinmoyee Sarma, Secretary Dipshikha Foundation, Krishna Baruah, Secretary & Commissioner – Panchayat and Rural Development, S.K, Baruah, Executive Director, NEDFI, Ashoke Bharali, Vice Chairman, Assam Mineral Development Corporation, Vikas Goenka, Entreprenuer, Jayshree Ghosh, educationist reflected on Late Ratan Tata’s unmatched contributions to the industry with altruistic endeavors side by side.

Through his leadership, Tata Group not only transformed India’s industrial landscape but also brought about meaningful changes in education, healthcare, and social welfare. His commitment to ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility continues to serve as a model for organizations worldwide.

A resolution recommending for the highest civilian award of India, “Bharat Ratna” to be awarded posthumously to Ratan Tata, the great personality was moved and endorsed by the August gathering with thunderous applause. 

Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO, informed that a copy of this resolution with the signature of esteemed citizens of Guwahati will be submitted to the appropriate authorities of the Government of Assam and Government of India.
