Assam Governor visits Konwerpur Sri Sri Barkhatpar Sattra
Guwahati, Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria visited Konwerpur Sri Sri Barkhatpar Sattra in Sivasagar and offered his prayers there. On visiting the sattra, the Governor said that the Sattra impeccably upholds the legacy of neo-Vaishnavite ideology, a profound vision promoted by Sri Srimanta Sankardev and Sri Madhavdev. The sattra has been very astutely propagating the novel creations of the Vaishnava giants Srimanta Sankardeva and Sri Madhavdeva. The refined presentation of Mukha Bhaona, Khul badon, and Borgeet are getting adequate patronage by the sattra, adding the Governor said that the elements added to the enchantment of his visit. He also said, “Religious and spiritual institutions play a crucial role in enriching society, and fostering a bond of unity. These institutions serve as a bridge connecting the aspirations of our past to the future. These establishments provide a platform for individuals to appreciate their heritage, and facilitate a deeper understanding of our cultural roots.” The Governor also expressed happiness to learn that Sri Sri Barkhatpar Sattra has been working with devotion and dedication for the development and propagation of Vaishnava religion and Satriya culture. They are also making an important contribution to the building of an organized society by educating the youth in sync with the cultural and spiritual thoughts. He also said, “May this Sattra persist in its noble endeavor to forge a meaningful connection between posterity and the opulence of our cherished traditions and culture.”
