Assam Governor Pays Floral Tributes to Bir Chilarai
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: On the occasion of Bir Chilarai Divas, Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya paid rich floral tributes to the bust of the legendary hero and remembered the role and contributions of this great Koch General at Raj Bhavan today.
Shri Acharya expressed deep reverence, stating, “I pay my respect to the great patriot. Bir Chilarai was a towering personality whose unflinching valour adorned his motherland and helped the people to remain invincible in the annals of our History.”
Further elaborating, Shri Acharya added, “We gather to honor the legacy of a legendary warrior, a symbol of courage and strategic brilliance. Bir Chilarai, a name that echoes through the annals of Assamese history has tremendous role in protecting our territory from the invaders”.
The Governor also urged the younger generation to emulate the spirit of patriotism and bravery that Bir Chilarai so profoundly displayed.
