Assam Governor conveys Christmas greetings
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya today extended his heartfelt greetings to the members of the Christian community and to all residents of the state on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
In his message, the Governor observed that Christmas, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, serves as a reminder of the timeless values of compassion, forgiveness and selfless service. He said the festival inspires people to imbibe the ideals upheld by Lord Jesus and work collectively towards building a society grounded in kindness, harmony and mutual respect.
Shri Acharya further called upon the people to celebrate the festival by strengthening the bonds of goodwill and fraternity. He added that the spirit of Christmas encourages humanity to rise above divisions and reaffirm faith in love, empathy and universal brotherhood.
