Ambulance donated to Deepsikha Foundation
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria handed over an ambulance to Deepsikha Sishu Ashray Sthal of Deepsikha Foundation(a trust for cancer care) at Raj Bhavan, here today.
It may be noted that social worker Sri Pannalal Gangwal of Shree Digamber Jain Panchayat, Guwahati on his 100th birthday donated the ambulance to Deepsikha Sishu Ashray Sthal as the Governor handed over the key of the ambulance to Deepsikha in recognition to its humanitarian services rendered to the people afflicted with cancer.
Governor Shri Kataria lauded Sri Pannalal Gangwal and his Trust for donating the ambulance. He said that the humanitarian gesture of the trust would also help Deepsikha in reaching out to needy people in times of emergency. He also said that seva (service) is the noblest action, which is tantamount to serving the God. He also hailed Deepsikha Foundation for its unrelenting demeanour in serving the people with cancer and ensuring their early and right treatment. He also thanked the members and other functionaries of Deepsikha Foundation for their humanitarian services which according to him, have enabled thousands of patients to lead a normal life. DC Morigaon Devashish Sharma who is also the Founder Chairman of Deepsikha Foundation also spoke in detail on the activities of the Deepsikha foundation.
