Teachers’ Conference 2026 for educators of Higher Secondary Schools / Colleges (HS Level) organized by Guwahati (NE) Chapter on 11th September, 2026 at ICSI House, Guwahati
Rongili Barta: The Guwahati (North-Eastern) Chapter of EIRC of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised Teachers’ Conference 2026 for educators of Higher Secondary Schools / Colleges (HS Level) at its seminar hall at ICSI House, Nabin Nagar, Guwahati here on 11th September, 2026. Teachers and a few principals from higher secondary schools and colleges (HS Level) participated in the conference which focused on the changing role of educators in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), skill development, self-motivation, the Company Secretary profession and GST.
The conference was conducted and facilitated by CS Manoj Rawniar, Chairman, Guwahati (NE) Chapter of EIRC of the ICSI.
The Chief Guest, Ms Dipika Choudhury, AES, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup Metropolitan District, stressed the need for teachers to continuously upgrade their knowledge, skills and teaching methodologies to improve the quality of education.
Dr Jyotish Goswami, former Principal of West Guwahati Commerce College and former Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Accountancy, Dispur College, attended as the Guest of Honour. He emphasised that education should go beyond examination-oriented learning and prepare students to become skilled, ethical, self-reliant and responsible citizens. He observed that AI should complement rather than replace teachers and should be used to enhance creativity, critical thinking and learning.
CS Saurav Bothra Jain, CS Praveen Kumar Chhajjar and CS Ankit Jain addressed the gathering on teachers as change-makers in the AI era, self-motivation, the Company Secretary profession and GST. Sri Bikash Jain, Special Invitee, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of professional awareness and skill development among students.
Dr Panchanan Barman addressed the gathering and asked to motivate the young youth to take the opportunity of skill based professional excellence course curriculum Company Secretary profession.
The conference concluded with an emphasis on strengthening the link between education, skills, employability and professional excellence.
As a token of appreciation and recognition, all the participants were presented with Memento & Certificates, presented by the dignitaries present.
Sri Subhash Bappi Sinha moderated the proceedings of the conference and also proposed the vote of thanks.
