Prime Minister of Bhutan visits Assam
Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma hold discussions with Bhutan Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: The Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed the Prime Minister of Bhutan Dasho Tshering Tobgay and had a meeting with him at Lok Bhavan in Guwahati.
The meeting witnessed elaborate discussions on a wide range of issues on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in the larger interest of the Northeast region with particular focus on Assam.
A cultural evening showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditional hospitality of Assam was also organized in honour of the visiting dignitary.
