Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma sworn in as The Chief Minister of Assam
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been sworn in as The Chief Minister of Assam at a grand swearing-in-ceremony held at the College of Veterinary Science playground, Khanapara, on Tuesday. Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, administered the oath of office and of secrecy to Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in the august presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and other senior ministers.
The Governor also administered the oath of office and of secrecy to four other ministers Shri Rameswar Teli, Shri Atul Bora, Shri Charan Boro and Smt. Ajanta Neog.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Waterways, Ports and Shipping Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from several states across the country, foreign envoys, along with a host of other dignitaries.
