23rd villages organised 135th year Bhauna Celebration

The 135th Bhauna Organising Committee and Sanskriti Vikas Kendra today (9-2-2025)felicitated Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia, Principal of Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi College along with several other dignitaries. He is a star in the social, intellectual and academic world of Assam with an exceptional personality and unforgettable achievements. The organizers said the Principal was honored for his leadership qualities, social consciousness, dedication and management skills. The President of the organising committee said the award was given to him for his achievements not only at the regional level but also at the national and international levels. The Principal Dr. Saikia was honored in the presence of the people of 23 villages, both large and small, for his aesthetic thoughts, environmental awareness, literary activities, social organizations and contributions to the country and nation. The letter of appreciation felicitated the President Nityananda Gogoi and Secretary Bhuban Dutta in the presence of thousands of people and urged him to become a great role model of human consciousness for thousands of people by engaging in more public welfare activities. The Principal has already been awarded more than 28 awards including Karmasurya, Dinbandhu, Dibru Hitoishi, Best Principal’s Performance Award, Paramananda Manavseva Ratna Award and Seuj Ratna Award. The Principal has already been honored by more than 140 social organisation recognition of his work. He is a Panelist and coordinator of the United Nations North East Resource Centre, the most powerful organization in the world. He is also the General Secretary of Snehbandhan, an organization formed to unite the Assamese people scattered around the world. The Principal also served as the Brand Ambassador of Swachha Bharat Mission in Assam. Accepting the felicitation in large gathering Dr. Saikia said there are many challenges, obstacles and interferences in life along the way to change society. Srimanta Sankardev had faced many challenges, when he trying to change the society. He said you can succeed in life if you move forward with courage despite all the challenges. He said the world should never flow because of obstacles or challenges. The open session was attended by former Dibrugarh University Professor Dr. Gopal Hazarika, Majuli Cultural University Registrar Dr. Binod Bora, Dibrugarh Sahitya Sabha President, prominent writer Jyoti Borgohain, Dibrugarh Sahitya Sabha Secretary Ratul Buragohain and many others Dignitaries were present.
