GUNOTSAV – 2023 

Rongili Barta –The 2nd phase of Gunotsav2023 has been successfully completed on 4th February, 2023. It was held from 1st to 4th February, 2023 in 12 districts of Assam namely Baksa, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup Metropolitan, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, West Karbi Anglong districts and also in Hojai (part of Nagaon district) and 114 schools of Biswanath (part of Sonitpur district). A total of 14,62,886 students from classes to IX of 15,681 schools (Govt./Provincialised schools, Tea Garden Management schools, Adarsha Vidyalaya, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya) evaluated in the exerciseDuring the evaluation process, IAS, IPS, IFS, ACS, APS, AFS and other Gradel & Il officers etc. took active part as External Evaluator. Similarly, Hon’ble Ministers, MPs, MLAs, EMS also took part in various schools as External Evaluator and interacted with the students, teachers, parents/guardians, mother groups, community members etc.  On first day of external evaluation (i.e. 02.02.2023), Hon’ble Minister of Education, Tribal Welfare, Indigenous Faith, Cultural Department (Directorate of Library & Museum) Dr. Ranoj Pegu visited Ambari Navajug L.P. School, Champabati High School, Ambari High School and Bathupuri Bodo High School of Kamrup Metropolitan district and interacted with students, teachers, parents/guardians, community members etc. Similarly, Hon’ble Minister of Power Department, Corporation Department, Mines and Minerals Department, Indigenous & Tribal Faith, Cultural Department Smt. Nandita Gorlosa visited Anandapur L.P. School of Baksa district; Hon’ble Minister of Handloom & Textile, Soil Conservation, Welfare of Bodoland Department Sjt. Urkhao Gwra Brahma visited Bhetagaon Biswajyoti L.P. School of Chirang district; Hon’ble Minister of Welfare of Tea Tribes, Labour Welfare Sjt. Sanjay Kishan visited Ram Chandra Agrawal L.P. School of Tinsukia district; Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat & Rural Development, Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, General Administration Department Sjt. Ranjit Kumar Das visited Gopal Krishna Girls High School and Guijan KGBV and act as External EvaluatorOn second day of external evaluation (i.e. 03.02.2023), Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Border Area DevelopmentImplementation of Assam Accord Sjt. Atul Bora visited Nandi Mikir LP. School of Kamrup Metropolitan district; Hon’ble Minister of Power Department, Corporation Department, Mines and Minerals Department, Indigenous & Tribal Faith, Cultural Department Smt. Nandita Gorlosa visited Anchali H.S. School and Milan High School of Baksa district; Hon’ble Minister of Handloom & Textile, Soll Conservation, Welfare of Bodoland Department Sjt. Urkhao Gwra Brahma visited Gossaigaon Sr. Basic School of Chirang district; Hon’ble Minister of Welfare of Tea Tribes, Labour Welfare Sjt. Sanjay Kishan visited Silapathar Society L.P. School, Debeswar Taye M.E. School and Batgharia H.S. School of Dhemaji district and they act as External EvaluatorOn third day of external evaluation (i.e. 04.02.2023), Hon’ble Minister, Education, Tribal Welfare, Indigenous Faith, Cultural Department (Directorate of Library & Museum) Dr. Ranoj Pegu visited Nalanipam L.P. School, Bharali Chuk L.P. School, Rupnath Brahma High School and Khagari Dihingia L.P. School of Dhemaji district; Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation Department Sjt. Ashok Singhal visited Bihaguri Girls High School of Sonitpur district and interacted with students, teachers, parents/guardians etc. and also act as External EvaluatorThe External Evaluators evaluated the performance of the students on scholastic in both skill (reading, writing & numeracy/basic mathematical operations) and subject areas as well as other indicators of the schoolsIt may be mentioned that the 3rd Phase of Gunotsav2023 will be held from 15th to 18th February, 2023 in 8 districts viz. Bongaigaon, Cachar, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Morigaon, Nalbari and Biswanath (part of Sonitpur district). A total of 11,915 schools (Govt./Provincialised schools, Tea Garden Management. schools, Adarsha Vidyalaya, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya) and 11,94,856 students from classes I to IX will be covered in 3rd Phase of Gunotsav 2023
