3rd ICSI Board Mentorship Programme begins in Srinagar today

Rongili Barta- The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), through the Institute of Governance Professionals of India (IGPI), a section 8 company promoted by ICSI, is organising its 3rd ICSI Board Mentorship Programme from 2-5 April 2025 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

The four-day Director’s Training Programme will witness the presence of more than 40 Senior Corporate Professionals, Industry Pioneers, Corporate Directors, Senior Government Officials from across the country.

 Engaging discussion spanning the following topics are set to cover the various aspects of law, governance, and sustainability: 

  • ESG way to Corporate Sustainability
  • Conceptual Understanding: Corporate Governance & Regulatory Framework
  • Inspection, Inquiry and Investigation
  • ICSI Secretarial Standards on Board and General Meetings
  • Corporate Social Responsibility

Welcoming the participants, CS Manish Gupta, Former President, The ICSI and Director, IGPI, deliberated on the transforming role of Directors in Indian Companies and the need of equipping them with the necessary skillset and expertise. He also sighted the same as a reason for the success of the past two editions of the Programme. 

Describing the ICSI Board Mentorship Programme as a platform to build leaders for a sustainable future, CS Pawan G. Chandak, Vice President, The ICSI and Director, IGPI, stressed on strengthening the stakeholders. He further mentioned that leaders who demonstrate integrity, empathy, and respect can foster better accountability and drive positive results.

Quoting from the Bhagwad Gita, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, CS Dhananjay Shukla, President, The ICSI, and Director, IGPI, aligned corporate decision-making to Dharma. He congratulated the participants for exhibiting exemplary leadership skills by seeking knowledge and updating themselves to further empower their teams and provide a collaborative growth environment.
